An All-inclusive graphic includes everything you need but the booth. Detachable graphics include the print, encapsulation, and Velcro. All-inclusive mural strips are finished with stiffeners and magnets.

Large Murals are made up of strips that span the full height of a booth. They are backed with magnets that attach them to the framework of the exhibit.

Detachables are generally smaller than mural strips, They are backed with Velcro that allows them to be attached, detached, and reattached to the fabric covering of a booth.

Headers usually appear at the top of the booth. Most often they are used to bring attention to a logo and/or tag line. Typically 15" tall and anywhere from 60-150" long, they can be backed with Velcro and used as a detachable or span the top of the booth as a backlit attachment.

Unfinished Prints are the digital prints as they come off our printers. Because they are unprotected, they are for limited use only (one or two shows).

Laminating Terminology

Laminating ColorWave prints offer protection from water and finger prints. Please contact us if you need help picking which type of lamination is right for you.

Laminating is the process of putting a protective plastic film of the face of a print. If we put laminate on both sides of a print it is called Encapsulation.

We encapsulate all rollable exhibit graphics using the most protective thermal laminates available. Using heat activated thermal laminates removes any possibility of the the graphics separating from the laminate which is know in the industry as tunneling. We also avoid using glossy laminates which scratch easily, show finger prints and have hot spots from the exhibit lights.

Mounting Terminology

When you need a Colorwave print that can stand on its own, it needs to be mounted to a rigid substrate. Below are some different options we offer:

Foam Core is a cost-effective substrate on which to mount your graphics. It is best used for temporary signage or prints that are going to be framed.

Gator Foam is a high quality version of foam core. It is much stronger and extremely flat. We use it most on large, rigid panels.

Foam PVC (Sintra) is a very durable plastic sheet. Unlike foam core or Gator foam, Foam PVC can be flexed without putting a kink into the graphic. (Sintra is recommended for nearly all rigid applications.)
